In plain terms. The App records comment changes from the moment you install it. It cannot recover anything Jira already discarded. It is a record-keeping tool, not legal or compliance advice, and you remain responsible for your own compliance obligations.
These terms govern your use of Comment Audit Trail for Jira (the "App"), provided by Loggard (the "Provider"), established in Spain. By installing or using the App you accept these terms. If you install the App on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept them for that organisation.
These terms operate alongside the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use. Where they conflict on matters governed by Atlassian, the Atlassian terms prevail.
The App records successive versions of Jira comments so that edits and deletions leave a verifiable trace, which Jira does not retain natively. It presents those versions with timestamps and highlights what changed.
a) No retroactive history. The App can only record changes occurring after installation. Comment versions that existed before installation were never stored by Jira and are permanently unrecoverable. This is a limitation of Jira, not of the App.
b) Event delivery is not instantaneous. Atlassian delivers comment events asynchronously, which may take up to several minutes. A change may therefore not appear in the history immediately.
c) Plain text only. Formatting, mentions, embedded images and attachments are not preserved. The App records textual content.
d) Version limit. The App retains at most 25 versions per comment — always the original plus the most recent. Where versions are not retained, the App declares this in the interface and states how many are missing.
e) Dependence on Atlassian. The App relies on the Atlassian Forge platform and its event delivery. Interruptions, changes or discontinuation of those services are outside our control.
Subject to payment of applicable fees, the Provider grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on the Atlassian sites for which it is licensed, for the duration of the subscription.
You may not decompile, reverse engineer, redistribute or resell the App, nor use it to build a competing product.
Fees are those published on the Atlassian Marketplace listing. Billing, collection, renewals, refunds and taxes are administered by Atlassian under its own terms. The Provider does not process payments and does not hold your payment details.
The App is a technical record-keeping tool. It does not constitute legal, regulatory, audit or compliance advice, and the Provider makes no representation that its use will satisfy any specific standard, certification or regulatory requirement.
The App is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider disclaims all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Consumer rights under mandatory Spanish and EU law are unaffected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
The Provider shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from records that were not captured due to the limitations described in section 3.
Support is provided by email at support@loggard.com. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days. Support is offered in English and Spanish.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstallation triggers deletion of stored data under Atlassian's retention policy; export any records you need to keep before uninstalling.
The Provider may suspend access in the event of non-payment or misuse of the App.
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the date above and noted in the Marketplace listing. Continued use after such a change constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory rights a consumer may have to bring proceedings in their place of residence.
